I literally don’t know what my family and I would have done without Susan’s help to help find the best memory care facility for my dad. Her experience, knowledge, and compassion are unparalleled.
Susan was helpful in providing resources to educate us, by screening potential facilities, and for coordinating with them to make sure they were good enough for us to check out as a family. I am not kidding when I say we started this process not having the slightest idea where to start and with me assuming it would take hours (that I didn’t have) of online research and months for us to figure out where my mom would be best taken care of. A quick message to Tess Quinn and she had us touring places within a week and we found a place we loved for my mom (and that she too loved) in one month! What I was most grateful is I felt lost in how to even begin to find the right places to start with and after a few questions, she recommended places that met our criteria and even booked the tours for us. I hate life admin tasks and Tess did it all for us. If you’re like me and my family in that we had no clue where to begin, Tess and her knowledge and kindness (and patience in dealing with someone like me who slowed us down) is a Godsend to help you find the best place for your parent/s or loved one (and helped us even get the best offer). I don’t know how we would have done it without her expertise and guidance. Save yourself the time wasted, frustration and headaches, let them find the best match for you (and best part—at no cost to you!)

Everyone needs a Senior Living Specialist! Susan has not just helped me find a community for my parents on two occasions over the years, she saved them from being separated from each other! Our old memory care community wouldn't take my dad back after a fall, saying that he was a two-person lift and he would have to be separated from my mom and placed into a nursing home.
Not only was this unaffordable, but it would have crushed both my parents. Susan said she didn't believe my dad needed nursing care and found a sheltered-care community that could accommodate his needs and house both my parents together. Best of all, it was only 8 minutes from us, less money and a much better fit for them!
Honestly, although this was invaluable I struggle to express how utterly panicked and alone I felt before reaching out to Susan. Worst of all, no one really cared about my dad, my mom or our situation. From the perspective of hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc... they sympathize, but ultimately you're a number to them.
Not to Susan. She was more than a convenience service, more than a source of incredible elder-care knowledge, more than a senior-advocate, she is an emotional support-lifeline. She owns your problems like they are her problems and I cannot imaging going through what was probably the most stressful 3 weeks of my life without her. Whatever the senior need, I know Susan can guide us through it.

I had the opportunity to work with Tess Quinn of Senior Living Specialists. With short notice she was able to provide me with a list of living options for my husband with dementia. She also offered to set up appointments and accompany me on tours. Her list of questions to ask of each community was so valuable. She is kind, sensitive and compassionate along with have such knowledge of the needs my husband might have. She followed up along every step of the process and checked in later to see how my husband (and I) were adjusting. She is a gem and I was so happy to work with her.

I would strongly encourage anyone who is looking to transition a loved one to a new care arrangement to speak with Tess. She is very knowledgeable, caring and responsive. Tess provided me with invaluable advice and pragmatic guidance as I worked through the process for my father. She relieved a great deal of the stress and burden of sorting through the confusing array of considerations and alternatives. Ronda has been helping my parents housing for the last couple of years. Very attentive. Follows up with kind inquiries and suggestions. Well in tune with all of local facilities around Chicago area. She was able to locate Korean families! She cares. Ultimately that’s what you want. Highly recommend
